We're currently trying to develop a digital contingency plan for unpaid carers which links in with the YHCR. In the event of an emergency to the carer, this means the type of care they provide, as well as who they're caring for is known to health and care services at the point they're being conveyed to hospital ensuring the cared for person continues to receive the support they require.
Currently, in order to share a single document it's necessary to complete the full data provider process, including all the technical infrastructure work required however not all organisations have the resources (time/cost) to do this, particularly when looking at single, specific use cases such as this. Having a central area in which documents of interest across the system can be deposited will allow these projects to be delivered at a fraction of the time/cost.
