A number of organisations coming on-board to the YHCR are considering provisioning of childrens social care data alongside adult social care. Early adopter LA's have so far focussed on adult social care.
There is already a Nationally provided system for holding and sharing essential childrens social care data from LA's - it is called the Child Protection Information System or CP-IS.

This is held on the National spine and accessed through the Summary Care Record application by a limited set of unscheduled care settings (e.g A&E). Details are already uploaded by every LA in a standard format from their existing case management systems.
There are plans to extend the number of care settings that can access CP-IS as well as the data-set provided by each LA.
Suggest we explore with NHSD how to access this national data-set and draw it into the YHCR. This will avoid each LA having to design and develop their own interface to very much the same data-set.
